We appreciate your releasing to the public your listing of qualifications desired for the interim CEO. Your making this information available allows us and others to give you the benefit of our thoughts and experience.
We urge you to consider each of the "qualifications" that you list as important factors to consider, but not to eliminate any candidate because he or she does not have every listed qualification.
In particular, we provided the board with an outstanding candidate that
appears highly qualified to do what is needed at MCDH. That he does not
have experience in California should not rule out him (or any other
otherwise desirable candidate). A highly successful manager will have
the ability to quickly acquire the essential knowledge that is specific
to California.
Also, we would appreciate clarification about
whether or not the board is at this time considering management
companies as candidates for supplying the interim CEO. We believe that
a management company could be the best choice for MCDH, because it
would bring with it experts in computers, billing, accounting,
purchasing, etc. -- all of which could contribute importantly to
solving current problems.
In our continuing effort to assist the
board, we have provided, via Ms. McAllister, information on Brim
Healthcare Hospital Management Company, another management possibility
that we heard about from one of our contacts.
I again emphasize
that we want to join with you in constructive dialog and assistance. In
the absence of your communication back to us, we continue to provide
information and suggestions. We would welcome a more collegial
relationship.
Sincerely,
The Hospital Resource Council
